Terrazas de los Andes

Picture_343In 1999, Terrazas de los Andes was founded right at Mendoza’s heart in an old and restored Spanish-style winery that had belonged from 1898 to Sotero Arizu, one of the forefathers of winemaking in Argentina. At Terrazas de los Andes, it all begins in the vineyards located in terraces at the foothill of the Andes Range. As pioneers in the election of the exact height to express the legitimate character for each genuine grape variety, our philosophy has always been to identify the best terroirs for varietals Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Torrontés and Chardonnay.

This is why Argentine tradition and French technical savoir-faire, combined with an exceptional terroir, allows Terrazas de los Andes team to obtain the intensity and genuine characteristics of each variety making Terrazas de los Andes wines stand out by its freshness, intensity and elegance. Terrazas de los Andes is considered as one of the best producers of Argentina, and thus received the honor of being chosen by Château Cheval Blanc (Premier Grand Cru Classè A based in Saint-Emilion) for its first joint-venture in order to create a unique icon wine: Cheval des Andes.
